On March 20, 2023, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province held a meeting to announce the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee's decision on the recognition and transfer of cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board. The decision was handed over by Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee
At the conference, comrade Nguyen Duc Tiep – A committee member and Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Uong Bi city – was assigned Rector of Ha Long University for the term of 2020-2025.

| Comrade Nguyen Duc Tiep was born on January 13, 1978. He holds a doctorate degree in Economics in Japan, and previously worked as a lecturer and faculty leader at Hanoi University of Industry. He has experienced the following positions: Head of Investment Consulting Department, Deputy Head of Quang Ninh Province’s Investment Promotion and Support Department, and Vice Chairman of Uong Bi City People’s Committee.
Previously, on March 7, 2023, comrade Nguyen Duc Tiep was voted into office by 100% of the members of Ha Long University’s Council to serve as Rector for the 2020-2025 term. |
