{"id":16616,"date":"2021-03-29T20:33:45","date_gmt":"2021-03-29T13:33:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/de-coffee.com\/?p=16616"},"modified":"2021-06-29T09:50:46","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T02:50:46","slug":"project-meeting-monitoring-trends-in-vietnamese-graduates-employment-at-vnua","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/de-coffee.com\/english-post\/project-meeting-monitoring-trends-in-vietnamese-graduates-employment-at-vnua\/","title":{"rendered":"Project meeting \u201cMonitoring trends in Vietnamese graduates employment\u201d at VNUA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants from Ha Long University include members from Department of Training, Department of International Cooperation and Research management, Center of Information, Library and Vietnam \u2013 Japan Culture exchange which in charge of the project coordinators, researchers, admin and IT staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants of the meeting come from Vietnamese partner institutions, including: Ministry of Education and Training; Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprises Association; Hanoi University; Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology; National University of Arts Education; Vietnam National University of Agriculture; Thai Nguyen University; Hanoi University of Home Affairs; Hanoi Tourism College and Halong University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">International partners and experts including AlmaLaurea (Italia); Barcelona University (Spain); University of Applied Sciences (Austria); International Consulting and Mobility Agency (Spain); National Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation (Spain) and University of Strathclyde (Scotland) join the meeting through the online channels due to restrictions caused by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, the project team from Hanoi University &#8211; Vietnamese national coordinator has given instructions on issues relating to the finance, equipment purchase and project sustainability. Partners also had in-depth discussions on the project questionnaire and the platform to collect data.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants agreed that the questionnaire should target the graduates, who have secured their employment and those who have not. The questionnaire will include common parts and customized questions for each group of students and universities. It should be suitable to the objective of the project and at the same time meet the requirement of employment survey among gradudates by the Ministry of Education and Training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Steering Committee meeting session, leading representatives and cooperators of project partners discussed on the project state of art, studied the best practices of graduates tracking in European countries and the first quality report by Dr. Daria Luchinskaya, University of Strathclyde (Scotland) \u2013 MOTIVE project external expert. She stated that the project was carried out on schedule with important goals achieved and good media coverage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Bui Tien Dung, Student Affairs Department, Ministry of Education and Training affirmed that the project result would be a crucial and precise source of information regarding the employment of Vietnamese graduates in order to help regulate and enhance the higher education policies. Since 2015, the Ministry has required educational institutions to report the percentage of graduates, who secured their employment after their graduation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Representative from Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture shared the best practice in instructing and encouraging students to register their information on the project platform. Mr. Chu Van Tiep from VNUA said that, member universities should have clear instructions and specific mechanisms to encourage students to comply with the requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project meeting sessions from March 22<sup>nd<\/sup> to March 25<sup>th<\/sup> was successfully held and achieved its goals.
